New Zealand Covid 19 Updates 11th March 2022

As the world slowly looks toward domestic and  international travel again, we want to re-assure our clients that we are doing everything possible to ensure your safety. To that end, our health and safety policy follows recommendations from the World health Organisation and the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Safe Travel protocols for tour operators.

As at 7th March 2022

When New Zealand’s borders open

The Government has announced its 5-step plan to re-open New Zealand borders, beginning 28 February 2022.

We are operating normally but due to the Omicron outbreaks around the world we are adhering to strict guidelines to take out passengers. This is being reassessed weekly but our booking system is still taking reservations for now and future months.

Drivers are required to wear approved masks in transit, passengers are only required to wear masks between the vehicle and the venues.

You do not have to wear masks in the vehicle or once you are at the winery after having scanned in.

At each venue you are no longer required to show your vaccine pass but still must sign in via their QR code

From 15th December 2021, everyone travelling on an NZWINEPRO™ tour must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of carriage and be able to show a current Vaccine Pass on their cellphone.

Scanning the NZWINEPRO™ QR code is also requirement of travel

All travellers* are required to produce:

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Vaccine Pass
  • All children 12 and above must provide proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative COVID-19 test.

Health Security Measures

All vehicles are deep cleaned between tours
Hand sanitiser is available at all times
Drivers are required to wear masks in transit.

All wineries, restaurants and places we visit meet strict New Zealand Government standards of operation

All guides and crew members have been vaccinated and are thoroughly trained in COVID-19 safe protocols, including hygiene, sanitation, health screening and crisis management.
